Stargazer, Graphicly.com and ebooks

I recently signed a deal to have Graphicly digitally distribute both volumes of my all-ages series Stargazer. The first volume of Stargazer is now available for free on the Graphicly website at http://graphicly.com/von-allan-studio/stargazer-v1.

Volume 2 will be ready shortly. Volume 2 is now available by visiting http://graphicly.com/von-allan-studio/stargazer/v2. And yup, it's 99 cents.

One downside to Graphicly is that they do use Digital Rights Management or DRM. I don't believe in that practice myself. I really don't. I think Joe Wikert has covered this pretty well in a recent column with Publishers Weekly as has Mike Shatzkin in his piece on the Digital Book World conference. To help deal with that, I have PDF and CBR/CBZ versions of Stargazer available FOR FREE now. These are also completely DRM free. You can find links to download them by clicking the "ebooks" link at the top of this page or just by clicking right here.

If you like Stargazer, please consider purchasing a physical copy. Stargazer eBooks (PDFs, CBR/CBZ, and Graphicly)

I've prepared a number of ebooks versions of Stargazer that can be found below. Both volumes are in English. I'd certainly love to do free versions in other languages but I would need help on that. If anyone is keen, though, please let me know! I'll also try to get CBR/CBZ versions uploaded in the near future, too!

You can right-click on any of these and choose "save as" to download the file to your computer. Note that both PDF files are relatively large (roughly 30 megs). I wish I could have made them smaller, but these are definitely graphic intensive files!

Graphicly does use Digital Rights Management (DRM) for its files. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about this directly. It's not something they are interested in changing. I do not believe in DRM and so the next best solution I can come up with is offering DRM-free copies of each volume. You can find links to these in a variety of formats above.
